The Ceiling Tile Project
This project began back around 2007. The idea was to not only to use the artroom space more productively and create a mood of creativity, but also to give the students a chance to leave their 'mark' on the department for future generations. The 'ceiling tiles' are actually 2'X4' pieces of 1/8" masonite that are painted and placed under the current ceiling tiles. This allows the removal of the ceiling tiles for individual shows or exhibits. The Art I and II students work in pairs to design and paint a ceiling tile as one of their last projects of each school year.
